This is an aftermarket bracket and handle designed for the Original Prusa MINI/MINI+. CNC machined out of 6061 aluminum. We are currently offering it in bare machined aluminum, anodized gun metal or anodized orange.

As part of the development of the z-axis support bracket, we applied FEA (Finite Element Analysis) using Fusion 360 to get the support that works for strength, everyday use and complete versatility for your Prusa.

We were able to optimize the bracket to withstand more than enough force, to eliminate the z-axis bending, by simulating the horizontal forces that would act upon the bracket when mounted on the printer. The stress that the system would experience during operation is far below the von misses yielding point of the Aluminum 6061 machined part. Because of this, we were able to attain a rigid structural connection between the Z axis and the bed, allowing us to achieve a rigid structure that is desired to have a more reliable machine during printing.
